Dell Vostro 3750 (Core i7-2360QM)
MRP: Rs 60,899

The Vostro series of laptops from Dell caters to business users. Dell has recently refreshed this lineup into its third generation with new hardware and better styling. Of these, the 3700 series can be considered as desktop replacements with 17.3" screens and full sized keyboards with a separate numeric pad. We have the Core i7 version of the Dell Vostro 3750 laptop with us today. The model we received is the topmost in the 3700 series with speedy components including a quad core hyperthreaded Intel Core i7-2630QM running at 2.00 GHz, 6 GB DDR3 RAM, a 750 GB hard drive spinning at 7,200 rpm, and NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M 1 GB (Quad Core) graphics which can be toggled with the onboard Intel GMA 3000.

Design & Features

The Dell Vostro 3750 is a desktop replacement laptop and the size shows just that with a width of 41.8 cm, depth of 28.7 cm and a thickness of around 3.5 cm. It weighs a little over 3 kg, thus rendering it almost not portable, unless you are okay with carrying around that much of a dead weight in your backpack. The case is made of a combination of aluminium and plastic and the build quality appears to be very good. The matte finish makes sure that it doesn't gather fingerprints. The piece we received came with Aberdeen Silver colour scheme, while the laptop is also available in Brisbane Bronze and Lucerne Red.

Review: Dell Vostro 3750 (Core i7-2360QM)

Dell Vostro 3750's aluminium body has a solid feel.

The first thing you will notice while opening the laptop lid is that it is remarkably rigid. This is due to the sturdy metal hinges, which allow a tight grip and also let you open up the lid to as much as 130 degrees.

Sturdy metal hinge on the Dell Vostro 3750 seems to be made to last.

It is a matter of personal choice when you are considering the two platforms. Both have their pros and cons. I prefer Windows-based laptop because I have been on this platform since day one and feel more comfortable with it. That being said, I will not discredit the ease of use offered by the Mac platform either. It is therefore a matter of personal choice.

i would say it should be decided by the applications u r going to use... if simply for surfing..or watchingh movies etc then MAC should be fine... if u r using some tools or playing games etc which r not available for mac then the choice would be natural.. U can install windows on a mac, but that would mean that u will be paying more to use windows as compared to dell/hp etc. Mac is best only when used with its own OS....that's why u pay more...

Parth put the message at 12:08. Jayesh replied to Parth at 11 :P. Jayesh replies to Parth before Parth can answer his question :O Please dont bother to create fake A/Cs and reply to yourself. This is very VERY patethic.

@Sagar Looks like you stumbled upon a small bug in our comments system. Parth made that comment on 00:33 AM which shows up on the website as 12:33 AM We do not know how to time travel or read peoples mind so rest assured there is no foul play over here. :)

@Sagar, there is no foul play going on. The problem is that you have overlooked an obvious fact of how time is displayed. Let me put it as simply as possible: 12 am comes before 11 am, and 12 pm comes before 11 pm on any given day. Care to disagree?
