The new kid Google+ has been receiving all kinds of pampering from the big G. However, with all the love being showered on one, the other kids are feeling neglected. If that wasn't unfair enough, one of them is now being abandoned - namely, Google Labs.

The Labs have been a place for users to try out Google's pet projects. Many found it interesting to play with these beta offerings and send feedback directly to the company's engineers who developed them. For Google, it was a first phase in a lengthy product development process, with only the well-received stuff ending up on Google.com. Some of the most successful projects have included Gmail, Calendar, and Wave. Additionally, other currently popular products are Transliteration, Body, Swiffy, and Scribe.

The end of the lab experiments means that some projects will die, while the ones for Android will continue to breathe in the Android Market. The rest will find a shelter in Google+.
