Round two of our best graphics card picks

Continuing our best graphics card picks, we now enter the 10K to 20K arena where there's even more chaos. Here there's a lot more choice especially since older generation cards like the Nvidia GTX 275 or the AMD HD 4870 are still being sold in the market and we strongly urge you to stay away from them. Not because they are bad cards, but simply because you can get much better, current generation graphics cards for the same price with support for DX11. So let's get started. Once again theses are Mumbai prices only so Delhi and Chennai folks may get them for a little less.

Under Rs. 14,000 - Sapphire 100314-2SR HD 6870 1GB

We start off with Sapphire's HD 6870 which can be bought for around Rs. 13,600. In this arena we have Nvidia's GTX 460 1GB for a little less price around 11.5K but for a little more you're getting a much stronger card especially at higher resolutions. Also the power consumption is a little lower on idle. We still feel the pricing is a bit on the higher side but then this is the one of the cheapest HD 6870s in the market.

good article. you can blindly follow the article if you are in this budget range. under 10k is also equally good. Please why dont you write articles on the remaining latest pc hardware.

GuYz... this article is totally shitt... .. i dun know why do people post all this even if they do not have knoledge... about all this... Lemme tell you.. neither of the two cards mentioned above deserves to be bought... i m also an Overclocker and i had performed several tests of overclocking and loads on every upper-mid segment and upper segment card of both nvidia and ati... well if sumone really wants to buy under 15000 , then i wud myself recommend him to get a msi n560 GTX Ti Twin Frozer 2/OC .... Tecnical Details are as follows... Specs Stock Overclocked Core Clock 880Mhz upto 1020 (stable) Shader Clock(Stream Processors) 1760 Mhz(384) upto 2040 (448) Memory Clock 4400Mhz upto 5000(stable) Memory Bandwidth 134 GB/s uneffected Memory Interface 256 Bit uneffected Open GL 4.1 uneffected The reason for i suggested this card above all is (first) i m myself a owner of this card and using it in a two way - sli and the monstrous hd 6990 is currently of no match for itz performance.. (second) neither of the above cards have their stock performance as good as GTX 560 Ti ... (third) when it comes to overclocking then a good overclocker can overclock it to compete with a gtx 570 and HD 6970 happily without even tweaking the voltages ... the overclocked freq mentioned above are after the voltage tweaks.. and if it comes to single GPU performance it.. competes with GTX 570 GTX 580 and even HD 6970 2GB without any problems (fourth) the overclocking capabilities of this card is no doubt insane and godlike ... as none of the above card can have a stable Core freq above 1000 Mhz .. here u can check it out.. http://images.bit-tech.net/content_images/2011/01/msi-geforce-gtx-560-ti-1gb-review/msi-gtx560-overclock-b.jpg and finally u can satisfy urself by checking the benchmarks and comparing msi GTX 560 Ti with above mentioned cards... Zotac is also good but it is even costlier.... so why shud v go with a card having a performance for higher price if v can get a same amount of performance with lower price as well... ;) from my point of view ... ati or v can say amd radeon is still lacking in some techs from nvidia... if v compare them ..in Stream Processing .. nvidia has far more to overcome an amd card... itz nvidia physx , cuda , ROPs and Stream Processing .. :D so i wud like to say that... first u guyz do a detailed survey before u do wid the misguiding articles like. this... do not go with others ideas and suggestions.... try it yourself..... use benchmarks to compare Graphic Cards.. Processors and Motherboards... and always check for compatibilities between these hardwares.. as it is must... :D if u guyz face any problem concerned with anything related to hardware ,just let me know... i will try my best to resolve it... here are my details... if u wanna contact... Can HD 6950 1 gb version be "flashed" to HD 6970? If it can than isn't that a very good option.
