After several weeks of testing, Adobe has finally released new Flash Player 10.2 for the Google Android mobile operating system based smartphones. The new Adobe Flash Player 10.2 version promises full web experience with videos, games, apps and mobile web browsers. However, this new major update would be available only for Android 2.2 Froyo and Android 2.3 Gingerbread based devices.

Adobe has collaborated with Google and hence the new Flash Player 10.2 will also offer Beta support for Android 3.0.1 Honeycomb or higher.  For optimal performance and the most immersive experience on Android 3.0.1+ tablets, view Flash Player delivered content in full screen by using the menu buttons provided by content providers, or by tapping content once followed by a long tap to bring down a button in the upper left corner which can be tapped to enable full screen mode.

Adobe Flash Player 10.2

The features that come with the Flash Player 10.2 update are:
- Performance enhancements to take advantage of new hardware in both Android 3.x tablets, as well as existing hardware in many Android 2.2 and 2.3 devices.

- Tight integration with the new Android 3.x browser to treat Flash content as part of the web page instead of as a separate overlay.  This results in improved scrolling of web pages and the ability to display pages in the way intended by the page designer, including new support for compositing HTML and other web content over Flash Player rendered content.

- Automatic soft keyboard support to simplify text entry for rich mobile and multi-screen experiences.
With the new Flash Player 10.2, Adobe expects to deliver better "embedded" in-browser experience. The enhancements also improve the playback of 720p HD videos in full screen. The General Availability version of Flash Player 10.2 for Google Android 3.0.1 and higher tablets is expected to be released in coming weeks.

New Adobe Flash Player 10.2 update can be downloaded from the Android Market app on your Android phone or you can visit here. If you face any issues post Flash Player 10.2 installation, do let us know in the comments section below.

Will I be able to install adobe flash player in Samsung s5670.Please reply. And why android does not support indian regional languages. It is very disgusting to indian peoples .we are not able to access local content. I think techtree should conduct a poll and/or make android support all indian languages.

No. Galaxy Ace unfortunately does not support native Flash and you can't run flash based contents in stand alone manner. You can download and install the Adobe Flash from market but it won't function. Thankfully, you can access flash sites including youtube in default android browsers in addition to SkyFire browser and also access Youtube via Youtube application. Though the smartphone does not support XviD and HD video files in Android video player, you can play YouTube videos under browser in HD resolution.

And I can't use it on my android 2.2 phone due to some strange reason. Mine is LG P500.

It depends on the OEM whether they want you to use Flash on your Android phone. They can block it if they want as they have done on the P500. Mid-range and low-end phones aren't very powerful to display Flash content properly, which is why manufacturers block it.

I think there are minimal hardware requirements for the flash. Should be be atleast 600+ Mhz processor I suppose. Hence this may not be available on economy phones in near future.
