Western Digital Unveils 750GB Laptop Hard Drives

Western Digital has launched Scorpio Black range of laptop hard drives for users looking for that extra bit of power without sacrificing storage space entailed by Solid State Drives. The high performance laptop drives pack in 7200 rpm spindle speeds in a 2.5-inch form factor. The drive has a capacity of 750GB and features 16MB cache that improves sequential read and write performance.
The drive features Advanced Format featuring sector size of 4K and also backwardly supports 512 bytes. High capacity and high performance storage doesn't come cheap, the Scorpio Black drives are targeted at laptop gaming enthusiasts and professional who require speed as well as storage space. The drive is priced at Rs. 5,275 (taxes extra) and backed by a five year warranty.
