Comes after last month's leak of the complete game
The Crysis 2 PC demo that Crytek had promised about is finally here. EA and Crytek have released the PC multiplayer demo of the game after favoring the Xbox 360 with the first demo. You can download it from games.on.net website. The download is pegged at 1.56 GB and includes six vs. six matches against the backdrop of a war ravaged Manhattan.
The demo includes two maps Skyline and Pier 17. Skyline takes you on skirmishes on the rooftops and interiors of skyscrapers, while Pier 17 is the typical open environment with very little cover. The demo also features two modes dubbed Team Instant Action and Crash Site . Team Instant Action is a team based deathmatch where opposing fight each other for the most body count. Crash Site has players guarding the alien drop pods where points are awarded for keeping enemies at bay.
The PC multiplayer demo is somewhat of a pyrrhic victory for Crytek, which angered scores of its PC fan base by being late to deliver a playable demo. Karma seems to have come back to bite it in the ass in the form of the complete game being leaked last month. So chances are, most of the diehard Crysis 2 fans may have finished the game already.
This article is NOT about a leak. It's about a Multi Player Demo released officially. So comment on the demo not the leak.
Crysis 2 has gone in a direction which will not go down well with Crysis/Crysis:Warhead fans.
This I thought till I played Dragon Age 2 Demo. Horrible gameplay, they took something so pure and ruined it.
Crysis 2 demo was fun though it feels arcadey.
