Has a slimmer profile, faster processor and near field communication chip
After Research in Motion's BlackBerry roadmap got leaked last month, we anticipated that those new smartphones will be shown at the Mobile World Congress 2011. But RIM remained tight-lipped about it. Over the weekend, BlackBerry news centric website Crackberry grabbed a video of BlackBerry Storm 3 device codenamed Monaco. The device has been branded as BlackBerry Monaco Touch.
Check out the video below:
Specifications: - 1.2GHz Qualcomm CPU - 768MB RAM, 4GB internal memory and expandable with up to 32GB SD - Enhanced BlackBerry OS v6.1, BlackBerry Evolution - Dual band CDMA, EV-DO Rev A, RX Diversity, Quad band EDGE/Single-band UMTS - 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 800x480 resolution, 15:9 aspect ratio and 253 dpi - 5 megapixel camera with Flash and 720p HD Video Recording - Near-Field Communication - Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR - Magnetometer, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor - Dimensions: 120x62x11.5 mm - Availability: July- August 2011
Though the BlackBerry OS 6.1 looks a bit buggy in the video, we suppose it would be smoother and fluid when the handset is actually launched this summer.
