Rovio confirms digital distribution of three Angry Birds games through WiiWare

Is there any platform left where the Angry Birds haven't made their presence felt? Well, there is, or at least was until Rovio decided that the 3DS could use an Angry Birds game. You read it right; the belligerent birds are headed straight for Nintendo's glassless 3D portable console in all its three-dimensional glory. Speaking to 3DSFocus over Twitter, Rovio announced that the game will be released on WiiWare and 3DS later in the year .

It's not just one game that's being ported; Rovio intends to bring all three Angry Birds games to Nintendo 3DS in the form of digital downloads. This includes the upcoming Angry Birds Rio, which happens to be a movie tie in. That's another console Rovio can scratch into their quest for global domination.
