Just like dual-cores have become passe for desktops, such is the state of affordable dual-SIM handsets. Now AKAI has claimed that the new AKAI Trio is India's first triple SIM phone. Technically it's the second one, since last year Intex had introduced a triple SIM (CDMA+GSM+GSM) phone already. In that case, the Trio can be called India's first triple GSM SIM supporting handset. AKAI Trio would be available across 15000 retail outlets in India for Rs. 3295.
AKAI Trio comes with a 2.1-inch TFT display and has a 1.3 megapixel camera with digital zoom. Trio happens to be India's first triple GSM SIM supporting phone that can accommodate three GSM mobile connections in GSM+GSM+GSM format. This phone also offers a call blacklisting option. Apart from that the phone offers multimedia features like video player, built-in sound recorder, FM Radio and music player with equalizer.
Trio also offers Bluetooth, micro-USB port and dual-language support. This phone claims to have an eBook reader but I don't think reading ebooks on a 2.1-inch screen is a wise idea. One can add up to 8GB memory to store your music and photos. AKAI has also added torch as a utility feature. Packing 1100 mAh battery, Trio offers talk time of 5 hrs and standby time of up to 400 hrs.
OMG.!! gr8 . but, how about radiation ? ppl, please do confirm the health issues with it. if it doesn`t cause any, rush to stores and get yourself one.
I think this is as simple as going for a chinees brand, everyone knows akai does"nt make any mobile phones.here in India Videocon is actually marketing this today, tomarrow with some alteration they will brand name it Sansui,Videocon or even Philips + what ever brand name license they hold and has right to use. May be this is 100% chinees or made by videocon in India.
