If you thought Facebook users spend a lot of time online, think again. According to numbers revealed by Activision, developer of the hit game series call of Duty, over 20 million players have logged more than 600 million hours online playing the latest game in the series, Call of Duty: Black Ops, that too in a span of just 45 days. If you do the math, the average time spent per person is around 87 minutes per day per person. In comparison, each Facebook user spends around 55 minutes per day liking and poking each other.

As far as comparison to other games is concerned, Activision was quick to point out that Halo: Reach users logged 50 million hours of play in the first week of the game's launch, which, if extended to 45 days would still be around 326 million hours, slightly more than half of what the Black Ops guys managed. According to Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, this makes Call of Duty one of the world's most engaged social network.
