Out of the two netbooks, the Eee PC 1015PEM offers an Intel Atom processor, while the 1215T offers an AMD Nile processor for computing power. Both models carry different screen sizes to suit the needs of individuals looking for a low-cost and low power netbook promising decent performance. The Eee PC 1015PEM is available at an MRP of Rs. 20,999, while the Eee PC 1215T is priced at Rs. 22,499.

New ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM features a 10-inch screen that supports 1024x600 pixel resolution. This netbook has a neatly laid out chiclet style keyboard and large trackpad. Inside the chassis, 1015PEM houses 1.5GHz dual-core Intel Atom N550 processor with 1GB DDR3 1333GHz RAM. For storage ASUS has added a 320GB 5400 RPM HDD that is more than enough for a netbook. Intel GMA 3150 graphics power the 10-inch display for movies and other lightweight games.

On the other hand the 12-inch HD Glare screen bearing 1215T netbook has graphics powered by ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 graphics. Yes, you can enjoy HD movies and graphics intensive games on it. This netbook houses a 1.7GHz AMD Athlon II K125 NEO platform processor with 2GB DDR3 800 RAM. For storage this netbook offers a 320GB 5400RPM HDD.

Both laptops support Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 3.0, 500GB web storage for 1 year, 0.3megapixel webcam and 6-Cell battery pack. ASUS Super Hybrid Engine power management technology helps optimizing battery power automatically. The Eee PC 1015PEM promises battery life of up to 13 hours and 6 hours for the 1215T. The major difference lies in the operating system as 1015PEM comes with Windows 7 Starter while the 1215T netbook comes with DOS. That indeed is bit absurd.

Considering the hardware offered, both netbooks are priced pretty decently and you should chose the one that fits your requirement.

That is a good launch specially the 12-inch 1215T netbook .quite curious to know where the graphics power of ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 graphics stand in comparison to ion based 12 inch notebooks.also the latest dell sub 12 incher is priced around 22k.shootout among these 12 inchers would to great as they offer bang for money.
