If
you haven't heard of this game, you should be ashamed of yourself. Now
that you are, Angry Birds is an epic action/puzzle game by developer Rovio
Mobile that involves catapulting birds with various abilities at a bunch
of pigs. While that may sound silly and you may question as to why the
birds, being birds, need a catapult to fly, the game is insanely
addictive. Little wonder that it is the top selling game on the iOS App
Store. The developers recently ported the game over to Android but with
one major difference. While the iOS game costs $0.99 the Android version
is free of cost, but ad supported.
The game is just as
addictive on Android as it was on the iOS, and Rovio is kind enough to
add new levels with a new update without adding to the cost, which stays
at $0.00. They even launched a new game titled, Angry Birds Seasons,
which adds even more levels and is once again free of charge on Android.
There is absolutely no reason why you should not be playing this game.
Regardless of your age, the Angry Birds will work their magic on you and
before you know it you will be wasting a lot more time on your Android
phone than you intended to.
Paper Toss
The
objective of Paper Toss is simple; just throw a ball of paper in a
trashcan that's placed in front of you. But there's one little thing you
need to be aware of. There is a fan blowing air, just waiting to ruin
your chances of getting that perfect score. The intensity and direction
of the fan changes, so you have to aim your throw accordingly. This is
that perfect game to play when you are waiting for a bus or train with
no multiple levels and abilities to unlock. Just pick up and play.
Highly recommended.
Slice It
Another
simple, yet addictive game. You will see different shapes appear on
your screen and the objective of Slice It is to slice those objects into
exactly the same ratio. Initially the game goes easy on you by giving
you simple shapes and making you simply slice them in half, but as you
continue to play the shapes get complicated and so does the ratios you
have to slice them in. If you enjoy slicing things then this should be
right up your alley.
Unblock Me FREE
Another
paid iOS game, ported to Android and made free of charge, Unblock Me
requires some serious amount of head scratching to play. You basically
have one red block and multiple brown blocks in a level and the
objective of the game is to move the brown blocks out of the red block's
way so you can slide it out of the small exit and into the next level,
where you have to do the same but with increasingly difficult
arrangement of the brown blocks. The game is a bit difficult but the
feeling of accomplishment you get after completing a level makes it
worth the effort. This one is for those who love to solve puzzles.
Labyrinth Lite
Okay,
we might be cheating a bit here as Labyrinth is not really a free game,
but there is a "Lite" version available, which is free and has 10
playable levels. Now depending upon your skill level it might take you
ten minute or an hour to complete the 10 levels, but that would probably
the best hour you spent. If you like the game then be sure to buy the
full version that has an insane 1000 playable levels in it. Those with
HTC phones might want to give the free one a miss as they come with the
game Teeter pre-installed, which is similar.
