Moser Baer ICE (MBYT24FHD) LCD TV

Roydon Cerejo, Dec 08, 2010 1607 hrs IST

A decent looking TV which is priced on the higher-side

Good design, glass cover makes images and video come alive, decent built quality

Awkward placement of menu buttons, no option to adjust the backlight, reflections hamper viewing, less number of connectors, pricing could have been better

Moser Baer has a new arrival in its LCD TV line up under the ICE banner. Three sizes are available ranging from 20-inch to 24-inch and today, we will be reviewing the latter. This new series boasts of a stylish design and would appeal to anyone looking for a funky second TV for his bedroom that also doubles up as a PC monitor. Compared to the previous offerings like the K22FHD, which was very drab and boring with a horrible panel, this looks like marked improvement at first glance. The ICE sports a full HD resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a max brightness of 250 candelas. There is no mention on the type of panel used but they say it's capable of displaying upto 16.7M colors. Whether it's worth your money or not is something we'll have to find out.

MoserBaer is great with data storage nothing else. Have an experience with the MoserBaer DVD player, didn't even lasted 6 months. The remote stopped working in the very first week and when complained for the same took nearly a month for replacement [which also lasted only for a month]. Onida customer care is taking care of all the services, and they also recommend other brands rather than MoserBaer. Onida is again a good choice (have very good 5 years of experience with Onida TV & DVD player)
