    Its pricing does not justify the features it offers

    Looks good, headphone jack, decent sound, good for cable TV viewing

    Expensive, interface isn't the most user friendly, poor HD performance

With 32 inch full HD TVs flooding the market, we seem to have forgotten the low-end 'HD Ready' TVs that were once very popular. If you are going to watch SD content or cable TV predominantly on an LCD, then it actually makes sense to get HD ready TV rather than a full HD TV, as their prices have dropped quite a bit. We had initially planned on doing a full-fledged comparison of the best 32 inch HD ready TVs in the market, but due to logistical issues we were unable to procure them in time.

Out of the few that did show up is the Philips 32PFL3305 that we have for review today. This 'HD Ready' TV belongs to their 3000 series, which is their budget range, and comes with stripped-down features as compared to some of their high-end models. Due to that we only get two HDMI ports, 1366x768p resolution and decent brightness levels of 420 candelas. The response time is not as low as we've come to see on most TVs, but 6.5ms should still provide ghost free images.

Bundle

The TV comes with the following accessories;

  • Installation manual
  • Remote
  • Batteries

Extremely Biased and limited review. I would agree that probably the price point is slighly higher (despite other top of the shelf brands priced similar at comparable specs - Ref Sony KLV-32BX300) But what i really did not like is - so many negative connotations in the entire review which itself was pretty small. Also, the negative points should be adequately detailed (such as details game and settings in PS3). Probably the sticker peeling off was the big put off factor which influenced rest of the review. Tech Tree - We admire what you guys do but we expect more.

This looks like an pretty old TV ... & no Video playback through USB... what are the philips men working for??.. I would ask philips to produce some good Tv's rather than trying out an unusual aspect ratio of 21:9 as in their other models...
