Cisco Unveils Linksys E-series Routers in India

Cisco has announced a new Linsys E-series range of routers that include two dual-band models as well. These new Linksys E-series routers can be easily connected to game consoles, wireless printers and even HDTVs that come with Internet browsing capabilities. Setting up these new E-series routers won't be an issue with the new Cisco Connect software.
In the last decade, you used to look around for cables to hook your laptop, game console and other devices to the web. With the new range of wireless routers, users can now not only set up them up easily but also customize the settings to enable security and other network preferences easily. The new E-series Routers support Wireless 802.11n standard that promises better as well as faster Wireless connectivity in larger area.
The new Linksys E-series routers come with Cisco Connect software that allows users to customise and control their wireless network settings as per their preferences. The Cisco Connect enables security and assigns unique network name once the setup completes.
Once those are configured, users can use Cisco Connect to manage their wireless home network by:
- Adding multiple Internet-capable devices to the network
- Setting parental controls for each computer or device
- Giving visitors password-protected Internet access on a separate guest network
- Customising advanced settings and changing the network name and password

Linksys E2000 Advanced Wireless-N Router
-Ideal for connecting computers, gaming consoles, Internet-enabled HDTVs and Blu-ray players
-Features selectable dual-band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) technology to help avoid interference, allowing for smoother file transfers and media streaming
-Includes four Gigabit ports for faster file sharing with other Gigabit-enabled devices, including computers, hard drives and servers
Available at MRP of Rs. 7,999, this dual-band router would certainly prove to be a good investment in wireless solution for your home.
Linksys E3000 High-Performance Wireless-N Router (Dual-Band):
-Optimised for streaming video and other entertainment, ideal for connecting computers, gaming consoles, Internet-enabled HDTVs and Blu-ray players.
