Incorporates support for active shutter 3D glasses
The most commercially successful gaming saga just got an update with Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game follows the same multilayered narrative spanning different characters - all linked to the same storyline. This time around, the setting is the Cold War and features the infamous U.S. black ops team. This sequel developed by Treyarch has been in the radar ever since CoD Modern Warfare 2 broke all entertainment industry benchmarks when it raked in over a billion dollars. The hotly anticipated sequel too showed promise with a record number of pre-orders. Black Ops will support active LCD shutter based 3D technology and span across PC, Xbox 360, PS3 Nintendo Wii and DS with an ESRB rating of M.
The Xbox 360 and PS3 console versions retail in three different versions with Standard Edition for $60 (Rs. 2,650 approx.), the Hardened Edition for $80 (Rs. 3,550 approx.), and the Prestige Edition for $150 (Rs. 6,650 approx.). The PC version retails for $60, the Nintendo Wii version for $50 (Rs. 2,220 approx.), and the Nintendo DS version retails for $29.99 (Rs. 1,330 approx.).
However, availability details of this game in India are not disclosed as yet.
Pre-orderd PC version on steam. Got it unlocked yesterday at 8 PM(7AM PST -USA launch time). It doesn't have a option to add servers via IP. Good list of dedicated servers (also including Treyarch hosted servers) available outside India. >50 servers with ping <300. Nice multi-player experience. Just started the campaign mode but mostly playing MP.
