In order to download and install the Windows 7 SP1 Release Candidate you must currently have a Release to Manufacturing (RTM) version of Windows 7 already installed. If you have previously installed the Windows 7 SP1 Beta on your machine, you must uninstall the beta before installing the Release Candidate. Windows 7 SP1 Release Candidate is available for installation in the same languages made available at original launch of Windows 7.

While this download is for x86 (32-bit) versions of Windows 7, you can get the x64 (64-bit) version from here and it is an 865.4 MB download. If you are a system administrator, you might be interested in downloading all of these on a single DVD ISO image made available by Microsoft here. This is a 1.9 GB download.

Please note that this is still in the beta, so it is effectively still in the testing phase. We do not advice you to install it on mission critical systems.
