Impressive suite that has all the necessary security measures in place

Easy install, good interface, easy to work with, small impact on the system, intelligent threat detection, parental controls, standard user support, exclusion lists control, doesn't bother the user with several questions

Charts and numerous settings get confusing when digging deep

When it comes to computer security that is both efficient and elegant to use, Norton is a perfect fit. No, I'm not paid by Norton to give glorious reviews, and even if I was, Norton would be just wasting their money, as the product's quality speaks for itself.

Norton Internet Security Suite 2011 comes from Norton's 2009 revamped line of products, which has consistently kept up with quality. Since Norton 2011 is built on the previous engine, we'll not go into details of the product but rather stress on the differences. You can find our previous detailed reviews of Norton Internet Security 2010 and Norton 360.

Installing Norton IS 2011 is a quick process; in fact, it was the same with the previous versions as well, which still continues to amaze me. If there is an award for the quickest installation of an Internet Security Suite, Norton wins it hands down. Not only is the Suite quick to install, it surprisingly doesn't demand a restart either!

After installation you'll immediately notice a different icon sitting in the system tray. The icon displays a green check mark indicating that everything is ok with the Suite. On right-clicking the 2011 Suite doesn't display anything new but the quick essentials that are required by most users.

The first and most evident change is the way Norton 2011's Internet Security Suite looks. The updated interface reflects what Norton wants users to see first, other than the obvious settings, the graphical map. The map represents two things - the users that use Norton's products throughout the world, and more importantly, 'Top City Threats' throughout the world.

kaspersky internet security suite 2011 does better than norton 2011 and a lot cheaper at Rs. 375/- added... response time of kaspersky labs for the new threats is way faster than norton.... also kaspersky is fully compatible with X64 OS..

I hope peope would stop using Norton and Kaspersky. Microsoft's Security Essentials is so much more lighter and faster, and best of all its completely free - the money saved could be used for hardware upgrades instead.

Use Eset Smart Security, its one of the best & much faster than Kaspersky & only uses 50 mb RAM. Kaspersky & Norton are useless, they might be good but eats up a lot of RAM.
