Small size and excellent audio quality, but does not offer anything significant over the competition

Compact, attractive design, good audio quality, FLAC support, good battery life

Weak loudspeaker, display has poor viewing angles, no gapless playback, videos need to be downscaled to play, extremely short USB cable, poor quality supplied earphones, no dedicated volume control button

The Creative Zen X-Fi Style is what you can call a smaller version of the Zen MX. Apart from the smaller design, Creative has added a loudspeaker as well as the ability to play FLAC files natively, but in return you lose the SD card slot. The Zen X-Fi Style comes with a comically small USB cable; except that it isn't so comical when you connect it to your computer. The cable is barely three inches long and as such the player just hangs out from your PC. If you keep your computer cabinet on the floor, there is a good chance that you or someone else will step on it.
