Design
The card looks pretty good with a translucent cover for the heatsink along with some branding. Unlike the reference cooler that has a full closed design, this one is more open.
There is no backplate for the card and you have a clear view of the Samsung memory chips. There's a total of 1GB, so the rest in on the other side of the core.
ZOTAC gives you all the ports you'll ever need; a DP, HDMI and DVI. For those still stuck on CRTs there is a bundled adapter in the box.
The card requires just a single 6-pin power connector. According to Nvidia, the maximum power the card draws on load is around 106W and you'll need a minimum 400W PSU from a good brand.
The cooler consists of just a small aluminum block over the core with no heatpipes or anything. I don't think that was really needed since it doesn't get very hot being a stripped down GF104. Sadly the memory chips aren't cooled but despite this ZOTAC has given a nice bump to the memory speeds. While this may seem a bit risky, at least you're covered for five years with the warranty.
