The just launched Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet is no doubt one the most desirable gadgets money could buy - this side of the Sun. For those of you who are in India and are wondering whether Samsung will officially bring it to India or not, here's some heartening news for you all.

According to tech blog Samsung Hub, NDTV has claimed that Samsung would be bringing the Galaxy Tab to India in about a month's time to India. The device would be priced somewhere between the Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 40,000 (that's a large price bracket!) range.

The Galaxy Tab was first showcased at the IFA in Berlin and  features Google's Android Froyo 2.2 operating system, this 7-inch touchscreen display bearing Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 although smaller than the Apple iPad is a worthy competitor to the latter.

The Galaxy Tab supports HD video playback and also boasts of full Flash support for PC like web browsing. It would be available in Europe in two weeks from now and will be launched in U.S., Asia and Korea in the coming months.

I think Spice MI700 which is also planned to be launched in October will give a strong competition to Samsung Galaxy Tab as Spice MI700 is estimated to be launched at a price range 20000 to 25000 and it has almost same features with ANDROID OS 2.2 and same large touch screen and many more advantages. I personally will go for Spice MI700 as it would be saving me a lot of money as compared to Samsung Galaxy Tab which going to cost 30000 to 40000.

Price is not suitable for indian common market buyers,Nodought its a good one but not so good in price range.I feel samsung will review it speciacally for a bulk sale in indian market. To be the No1.

The price is way too high. There will still be a few takers, but very few. 20K - 22K is the max one would want to pay, that too only for mobility. The same price can get you a very decent netbook, or even a laptop!

No TOUCHWIZ interface on the Tablet??? This looks like stock Android. Well now why did they bung up that crappy UI just on the Galaxy S phone then??? And all you people wanting this at 20k. the Galaxy S sells for 27-28. This is a Galaxy S with bigger screen, more internal storage. So Quit Dreaming about getting this at 20.

Tablet should target mid range Netbook pricing.... I only buy tablet if i find it can replace my netbook... A seizable amount of netbook in last phase of ownership(2-3 yr old)... I would only be interested in them if I find them replacing my netbook in the same price point... anything more and I would go for a proper laptop... (or ULV laptops)

"...tablet is no doubt one the most desirable gadgets money could buy - this side of the Sun." Yeah, right. Way to blow things out of proportion, Techtree. Stay classy.

If true, the pricing is just insane. No way I am going to spent so much on something like this. Agreed that it's a great device from the looks and specs, but anything about 20k is too much. Better wait for another 8-10 months for things to get settled down.
