Hitachi Refreshes LifeStudio External Hard Drives

Hitachi GST has introduced the refreshed LifeStudio line of external hard disk drives in India. Both Portable and Desktop models are included in this new HDD lineup. LifeStudio HDDs extend functions beyond backup-restore and offers search, sharing and organization tools. The new LifeStudio line of HDDs would be available in storage capacities ranging from 250GB to 2TB. Designed in collaborating with Cooliris, the App and UI developer, the new LifeStudio HDDs are compatible with both Windows and Mac computers.
The new LifeStudio external drives are offered in Mobile and Desk variants. The two portable models are - Mobile & Mobile Plus in Platinum and Graphite colors. The desktop models available only in Black color include Desk and Desk Plus models. With the new LifeStudio applications, users can keep a large amount of data organized and keep taking backup of their valuable data. By default, users get 3GB of free online storage with Hitachi Backup cloud servers. Of course you can buy online storage for secured backup of your data on cloud servers. Hence, the data stays secured in both local and cloud based back up.
New external LifeStudio drives come with an auto-syncing USB key that offers flexibility to sync data easily. The LifeStudio application unifies the user data such as photos and videos with the social network websites such as Flick, Facebook and Picasa.
Hitachi adds a 4GB USB Key for better encrypted security with the LifeStudio Plus models - Mobile Plus and Desk Plus. Also, this USB Key can be docked on the HDD itself.
Apart from offering physical storage and backup facilities, Hitachi LifeStudio drives take a step ahead by offering online backup-storage options.
