Users on O2 Network in the UK can update their devices right away, others will have to wait
Dell's just released monster of a phone (it's also a tablet) Streak was famous for running an ancient version of Android OS (1.6). Dell had promised an update to Froyo soon after the launch.
However, before that happens, a major update for the Streak has arrived in the form of Android 2.1 (Eclair). The update is currently available to Streak users in the UK on the O2 Network. New features noted in the update include support for 720p video recording, improvements to the keyboard and addition of live wallpapers like you have on the Nexus One and the Galaxy S.
If you, by any chance, happen to be on O2 in the UK, you might want to go to Settings -> About Device-> System Updates and get your Streak updated.
People in other parts of the globe might have to wait a bit for the official update to arrive.
