    ZOTAC GTX460 1GB Amp Edition

The out-of-the-box performance gain you get with this GTX460 is worth the slight bump in price

Good bundle, factory overclocked, fan is near silent, good performance, not too expensive compared to the standard edition

Power consumption is a bit high on load, memory chips aren't cooled

Nvidia's GTX460 seems to be a runaway hit with gamers, as it provides solid performance without draining your power supply and pockets. It's just what the company needed in order to finally break the streak of problems Fermi has been suffering from its inception.

We already covered a slew of GTX460s and even had a little overclocking roundup to see which one is the best. Today we have ZOTAC's overclocked verion, the GTX460 1GB Amp Edition.

ZOTAC makes it a little easier for novices with a healthy overclock of 810MHz on the core and even the memory is bumped up to 1000MHz (4GHz effective). What's different about this Amp edition is the all new custom cooler with a large aluminum block sitting on the core. There's even a ZOTAC logo engraved on the cooler that can be seen from the front. The translucent custom fan should definitely be more silent than the one used on the standard edition.

This Amp edition comes with a free copy of Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands along with plenty of artwork splurged all across the box.

Go with Zotac. Palit cards aren't the most reliable.
