Loads of users make use of free calls to U.S. and Canada
Yesterday, Google launched new voice calling feature in its mailing service Gmail. Google proudly tweeted that over a million calls were made on the first day of the service's launch. This new web-based voice over Internet Protocol feature in Gmail is available only to U.S. based citizens at the moment.
Users in U.S. can make free calls to any phone in the country and in Canada. Also, very affordable and cheap pulse rates are offered to call other countries across the globe. Over a million calls in day is certainly a sizeable number. This overtakes records of the heavily hyped Google Wave and Google Buzz. The former was discontinued and the latter is still taking time to attract more users.
However, if this service remains U.S. bound, we wonder if any users outside U.S. would be actually remain interested for long.
Sound very interesting to me have not had a chance to try it as yet but i ususlly makes lots of call to the caribbean and outside of canada.
Love you Google
