We have been
hearing about the arrival of the Motorola Droid 2 for quite a while now. Pictures of the phone were seen along with the Droid X a number of times.
However, while the Droid X has already arrived, there is still no sign of the Droid 2. The wait, however, is likely to end sometime next week. The Droid 2 is likely to arrive on Verizon stores in U.S. by August 12 if we are to believe a
leaked image of what supposedly is an internal Verizon slide. Incidentally, this is not the first time that the August 12 date has been found which sort of makes the date more believable.

The Droid 2 is believed to sport a 3.7-inch screen, will run Android 2.1 with MotoBlur. The processor would be an OMAP 750Mhz one. The phone gets 8GB of internal storage with memory expansion support. A 5 megapixel camera rests at its rear. The phone will also feature HD video recording as we had reported earlier.
Details about the phone's Indian availability and pricing are not out yet.
