Buy it for its good noise cancellation and not its audio quality
Good noise cancellation, decent audio quality, 'Monitor ' feature to listen to the sounds around you

The Creative EP-3NC are a pair of noise-cancelling earphones. Apart from passively blocking noise - thanks to the in-ear design - they also feature two microphones placed in each speaker that listen to external sounds. These microphones then produce a sound that is in opposite phase thus cancelling the noise. The overall noise isolation, as claimed by Creative, is about 90%.

Quick Start Guide
The earphones have a large module hanging in between, which houses the battery and the circuitry for the noise cancellation process. It uses a single AAA battery, but despite that I felt the module was a bit bulky, especially considering how light the rest of the earphones are. Thankfully, it comes with a clip, so you can attach the earphones to your shirt.
On the module you can see the power switch for the noise cancelling feature. The earphones work even if you switch off the noise cancelling feature and remove the battery. Next to the switch is the LED to indicate the power status of the NC feature and the monitor switch. What this feature does is, it temporarily switches off the NC feature and turns off the sound from the source.
