LED TV prices seem to be settling down with more and more manufacturers bringing out their creations. They are also trying hard to grab a bit of the market share Samsung, Sony and LG have being enjoying. While the LED LCD technology does offer benefits in terms of power saving, even backlight - which results in better contrast and a slimmer design - regular LCD TV's aren't incompetent and today's higher-end models easily compete with the LED variants in terms of picture quality.
Smaller brands in the LCD segment have also started advertising their range and today we have a 40-incher from VU. In the past we've reviewed a couple of their televisions, and to be honest, none of them have really stood out, except for maybe the Intelligent TV, which was pretty cool. The main problem with VU was the picture quality which just wasn't up to the mark when you compared it to the competition. We are not sure whether it was the fault of the panel or the video processor in the TV or perhaps both. Hopefully, this new LED series won't disappoint.
Bundle
It's funny that the TV has SCART since we don't really use this type of connection here in India. VU does bundle an adapter, so you have an extra set of Composite connections.
