Remember the E75? Nokia's E71 successor with the slide out QWERTY keyboard? Well, the phone which had been off the limelight for quite some time now finds itself under some attention, thanks to a new firmware released by Nokia for the device.

The new firmware is apparently available for E75 users in select countries. The version number is v211.12. As of now, there is no Over the Air update available for the phone to update to this version. So, the only way to do it is via the PC Suite and Nokia Software Updater.

The firmware file involves the download of a 146MB file, so ensure you have a decent connection before you start the update process. Also, please backup all your data prior to the update. The E75 has User Data Preservation - but why take chances with your data?

The update endows the phone with quite a few bug fixes. Most of the updates are invisible in nature - i.e; which enhance the functionality and stability of the device. There are not much feature additions or other exciting things in this update from what we know till now. Some of you E75 users might want to update and find out if there's something new in there.
