The interface on the B153F is identical to the B143F, except for the new navigation method. It has the Zappin feature, which plays the first few seconds of a track and then moves to the next one to help you identify it. This made sense on the W202, which did not have a display, but on B153F and even on the B143F, it does not make much sense.
Audio quality is still the highlight of the B153F and the player sounds really good. The Bass Boost function would come in handy if you were to use the provided earphones as they lack in the bass department. However, they are not required for good quality headphones, as it tends to make the bass boomy. There is also a 5 band equalizer provided with a few presets if you want to tweak the audio quality further to your liking.
The battery life remains the same as before, which is a good thing, as the B143F had good battery life. Although Sony claims 18 hours we got 20 hours of playback. Activating Bass Boost, however, drops the battery life to 11 hours. But thanks to the Quick Charge feature you can get about 90 minutes of music playback with just three minutes of charging.
The B153F costs Rs. 3,990 and has 4GB memory, which is the same as that of the B143F, and both seem to be selling side by side. As such I would recommend going for the older model as it had better build quality and the menu navigation system is easier due to the up-down buttons.
