If we ask you which is the most visited image upload service in India, your answer might probably be the usual suspects like Flickr or Imageshack. But be prepared to be shocked because it's someone else that has usurped the crown from these top websites.

We're talking about social networking giant Facebook which, according to a recent Vizisense report, is actually India's most used photo sharing website today. In fact, Facebook is even ahead of YouTube when it comes to video sharing. This is because unlike Flickr and YouTube which are stuck with images and videos respectively, Facebook can handle both!

The latest Vizisense data reveals that Facebook.com had a staggering 18.7 million unique users in May while YouTube.com in comparison had about 15.5 million. Compare this to Flickr which managed to garner just 1.91 million Indian users. Facebook is growing quite fast in India as well. Orkut too was nudged away by Facebook recently in India as the country's most used social networking platform.
