If you were amongst those early adopters who always were always at the forefront to buy the latest Gizmos, prepare to be disappointed when it comes to Windows Phone 7 based devices.

Apparently, the first bunch of phones based on this latest OS have already been given away by Microsoft to two teenagers who were announced the winners for the Windows Phone Rockstar contest. The prize was for a game called Droid Assault which happens to be a 2D XNA Framework based game for Windows Phone 7.

While the contest had a cash prize award, Microsoft also gave away two Windows Phone based phones to the teens making them the first people outside of Microsoft to get Windows Phone 7 preview devices!

The two teens happen to be Christian Hood, 17, and Eric Lo, 16, who formed a team called Beastware. They are high school students at the Advanced Technologies Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada.
