Nokia X6 16GB

I had purchased a Nokia X6-00 mobile in Saudi Arabia on 23/1/2011, EMEI #354855045081808. My phone developed problem on about 3 rd of Nov. I downloaded Ra One game from Nokia website. With in 2 days I got error message "unable to write to disk" option stop / retry. This would happen when ever I tried accessing 16 GB memory, I could still use phone. After 1 day same message started coming while using phone & affected the main memory. And phone would just hang up & say 'contact customer service'.After some days the phone has gone completely dead (except while starting it vibrates). I have returned to India with no intention to go back to Saudi Arabia, so I took it to Nokia care in Vashi. The Nokia service center in Vashi say this cannot be repaired here as it is beyond their skill capability (Level 2) They are not willing to forward it to Delhi (who have capability to repair it) saying this set was purchased in Italy (may be some system error or it might have been intended for Italy). My issues with Nokia are: 1) No matter where I purchased the phone, Nokia being leading mobile manufacturer must provide service (repair any Model manufactured by nokia anywhere in the world) & provide International warranty. I am at fault as I assumed this to be true at the time of purchase. 2) I had long discussion with service staff at Nokia center & after their inability to help gave me a phone no to escalate the matter, but I got no help.They kept convincing me that how difficult it is to repair the phone. I do not believe & except any excuse for a manufacturer to say they cannot repair their product. 3) The job order issued at the Nokia care has so many terms and condition on it , which evokes zero confidence in customer. One condition says Nokia is not liable for any non performance, failure or non delivery of the product due to contigencies arising from any force majuere, acts of god, .................war, earthquake........ MY POINT IS, NO WHERE THEY HAVE BOTHERED TO CONVEY TO CUSTOMER ' WE ARE THE MARKET LEADERS , WE WILL SOLVE ANY PROBLEM RELATED TO OUR PRODUCT ' I can't throw away a costly high end phone & I don't see any way of getting it repaired. One thing for sure I will not use another Nokia & will convince where ever I can, for people to buy some other phone except Nokia. which phone is better.???? nokia X6 , lg optimus p500 or nokia c7??? plz help me out guys... i m really confused..

Nokia's website does't show the car charger & holder in the box. What's the reality...

hai all i searched deseperately for authentic review of nokia's X-6 PHONE luckily when searching for reviews in net i found techtree which always authentically n in un biased manner reviews latest gadgets, am very much bowled by nokia X-6 after reading ur reviw n user's reader's comments i wish to buy it n after using nokia x-6 i 2 will share my experience here. as its expensive n still has all functions such as e mail, blutooth, gps, 3g front n back camera, touch ow!! how to describe it!! its really a good phone within a buyable range.. thanks for ur valuable reviw.. reghards venkatesh bangalore

hi plz help me out i dont know y nokia service center cant help me. i bought nokia x6 2 months back my phone got a physical damage because of my sim my sim had a hole in it so the pins borke or got damaged when i tryed taking out the sim. when i gave phone for fixing in nokia care they even damaged it more in krishnagar so i went to kolkata and even the nokia care in kolkata says we cant fix the phone please take it back, please suggest me what shall i do i still have it under waranty period and also all documents. iam willing to pay what ever the repair cost is why cant any nokia care fix my phone.

hi, even i gt x6 few months bak , everything is fine . bt ididnt get the sennihiser headphnones i bought frm the nokia priority bt i dnt knw y didnt they give me... did every 1 got the headphnes??.. nd 1 mor prob i m facing recently is my signal symbol is reflecting multiple times in the display. wat to do ,is any1 getting similiar problem..??

i bought nokia x6, it has everything- looks, features, camera quality, sound quality, and most importantly the feel of this device in hand... Its a lovely phone... I am 100% satisfied with it. :-)

nokia x6 is really cool man u enjoy thetouch screen movement , i puschased this phone last month ........but after 2 days i phone was autobincking , i was shocked the new phone is blincking but its not a problem at all........u have just update ur software.........this phone is really awesome man

Hi Prasad, Thanks for providing the review and giving X6 a PLUS. I've purchased a X6 a little over 15days back (before your review); there was no review on techtree at that time and I was really in doubts about my purchase. The device is good and I am a happy user. I do agree with a few of your comments, regarding the design issues, nokia's decision of placing all images and videos in a single folder and the browser. I'm happy that you have provided the alternate browser (opera); I'll now try to get it. I've seen many ppl using such smart (and expensive) phones without knowing/utilizing its capabilities; i for sure don't want to added in that list; So, Could you please provide a article (or point to one) about the must-have applications a smart phone like this should have. Also, a message for fellow readers, I was able to get a good deal of getting X6 (with all accessories listed here by Prasad) (Binga, the box does has car charger and holder), plus a year's extended warranty (making it two years), plus Sennheiser pmx60 head phones (along with the ones inside the box) for Rs. 16,400. They even got a X2 and an X5 those are the present models of Sony Ericsson . . . Looks like nokia is really out of naming think tank.

Arcslide design may not be rocket science, so is naming . . . N97 copied Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, now nokia impringes into SE's naming territory, X series. Looks like nokia running out of think tank. Mr. Reviewer, I will be obliged if you can forward this message to those who have bribed you to give high rating for this one. For those who dont know what is all this, This Reviewer's views are biased against some manufacturers.

Please Review Phones from Gfone especially model 777 and 588. Their appearance is fine but are they really good from inside?

instead of reviewing phone like this please review samsung wave it is a superb phone with 1ghz processsor ,super amoled technology used in samsung led tv 3.3 inch display and at last divx support

Hi Prasad, You said "no native support for DivX/XviD video playback (only through third party apps)" Can you tell which 3rd party app can play XVID videos on x6 with out any lag? There are no apps for playing DIVX/XVID on S60V5 smoothly.

Still it is a bulky design... iPhone is getting released 24% thinner.. why can't nokia make it any thinner.. Nokia need to catch up fast with new handsets from Motorola, HTC n iPhone.. otherwise they'll gonna suffer a lot.. Bulky design.. everything else is fine..
