Will run Android OS and have 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor
Samsung is rampaging to introduce a new tablet computer dubbed Galaxy Tape instead of Galaxy Tab, as rumored previously. More details about the Samsung Galaxy Tape came from a Vietnamese forum Tinhe.te. Yes, it is the same forum that showed off iPhone 4 prototype. Upcoming Galaxy Tape tablet will run Android OS and will have ARM CORTEX A8 design based microprocessor.
With a close resemblance to the freshly released i9000 smartphone, this new Galaxy Tape tablet has a 7-inch bright Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. This will make the tablet readable even under the sun. Galaxy Tape will run freshly announced Android 2.2 Froyo update and also offer book reader application. This tablet houses ARM CORTEX A8 design based microprocessor clocked at 1.2GHz.
Samsung Galaxy Tape will have 16GB of on-board memory (upgradable to 48GB) and memory slot capable of holding up to 32GB microSD memory card. For longer enjoyment, Samsung packs in 4000mAh battery and total weight of the tablet comes to around 870 grams.
