Controller-free gaming device for Microsoft gaming console named Kinect
Microsoft has officially announced the much awaited 'controller-free gaming device' branded as Kinect. Yes, it's the same gaming device or accessory which was codenamed so far as Project Natal. This shiny black little toy gets hooked to the Xbox 360 gaming console. It has a camera, audio sensors as well as motion-sensing technology capable of tracking 48 points of human body movements. However, Microsoft has still retained crucial information about its price and release date.
Microsoft's Kinect wasn't one of the best kept secrets but the name certainly surprised many. The name Kinect is directly being related to Microsoft's recently announced KIN smartphones. At E3 2009 Expo, Project Natal was unveiled as a concept of controller-free gaming and entertainment device for Xbox 360 console.
We all expect this device for Xbox 360 to release around Holiday (year-end) along with couple of Kinect-based as well as compatible games. Microsoft also announced video chat application aptly named Video Chat.
Despite involving weird body movements and moves, Kinect looks promising enough to turn your living room into an entertainment arena. Let's wait for the official pricing and release date to get our hands on this one.
