Valve's first person shooter game Portal 2 has been delayed till 2011, said the company in an official statement. Originally, the game was set to arrive in holiday (year-end) 2010 for Xbox 360, PC, Mac and even iPhone (rumored) platforms. But as per the official release, Aperture Science and Valve have decided to push Portal 2's release to 2011 due to 'exhaustive ethics-review-panel-supervised release date restructuring process' completion, reported shacknews.

Portal 2 is a sequel to the first game that was released in 2007 with Valve's The Orange Box compilation of games. Now, Valve and Aperture Science confess that 'making games is hard'. The company stated "even though Portal 2 will arrive slightly later than planned, all life on earth won't instantaneously stop as every molecule in your body explodes at the speed of light." Honestly, we'd be looking forward to this game.

The interesting part here is that since Steam for Mac is now available, we will wait for Portal 2 to arrive on Mac platform and also iPhone/iPad platforms. The company said that E3 Expo will be Portal 2 themed.

Portal is not a first person shooter game as mentioned in the article.... Portal is a single-player first-person action/puzzle video game..
