Taiwan based Silicon Power manufactures a wide array of storage devices.  From PC memory, to memory cards, to USB Flash storage, portable hard drives to SSDs - you name it and Silicon Power manufactures it. Amongst their USB Flash drives, they have some products which are manufactured from a very practical point of view and are meant to give the consumer a good value for their money. The Silicon Power Helios 101 8 GB drive is one such USB Flash drive that is available in some attractive color options. Let us find out how it performs.



The Helios 101 drive comes with no bundle. If Silicon Power would have provided a USB extension cable, it would have allowed you to plug it into a rear USB port without the need to reach to the back of your PC. A lanyard too would have been useful.

Will you guys stop putting the standard ReadyBoost paragraph ... I am really sick of seeing it repeated in every USB drive review

It is put for people who come to read the review for the first time. Not everyone is like you who reads so many USB flash drive reviews. You may argue that they should write separately, but I disagree with such gadha-majoori.
