The Logitech Z523 is a set of mid-range 2.1 speaker system. The satellite speakers feature a unique design where there are speakers placed on the front as well as back, so they can sound good even if you are standing behind them. The subwoofer features a 4-inch down firing driver with a 6.5-inch pressure driver up front. Read on to find out whether it's any good.

I had a good listen to these speakers in PC World. At first sight these Logitechs look as if they mean business. The price is reasonable, connectivity is good, and controls are accessible: it's just a shame about the sound quality.

Altec Lansing is obviously one of the best 2.1 speaker systems' for the price they come for! I have one and really give it a thumbs-up!! If one can extend one's budget to about 10k, then there is an audiophile's eye candy in Audio Engine 2.... Wow.....what sound!! the clarity of the mids and highs are exemplary!! forget not, Audio Engine 2 is a 2.0 system, not a 2.1 but in spite of that, the bass them thump out is way better than many other systems!! If clarity, exact music reproduction and purity are the basic need then Audio Engine 2 is the one!! Way to go......
