    An affordable gaming mouse

    Suitable for right and left handed people, Teflon feet, good performance in games, slick looks, priced well

    No shortcut buttons near the thumb, dpi settings can't be fine-tuned

When it comes to the world of gaming peripherals, Razer needs no introduction. Razer has already established itself as a premium brand for gaming mice, headsets and speakers, and has been in India for some time now. Today we'll be looking at their entry-level offering, the Razer Abyssus gaming mouse.

It uses Razer's own 3500dpi Precision 3.5G infrared sensor with a 1000Hz polling rate. The mouse features an ambidextrous design, with large rubber clad buttons and a lengthy seven foot cord. Given the price and the technology used, this one goes head-on with the Logitech MX518, so lets see if the Abyssus has what it takes to overthrow the longstanding budget gaming champ.

Bundle

The mouse is packaged very well and the bundle is neatly tucked away behind the mouse. It includes the following;

  • Warranty card
  • Instruction manual

There isn't any driver CD bundled, for that you'll have to go to the website and download the software from there.

Isn't this the mouse that comes with the Asus G51 3D laptop?

I also own an MX518 and would still prefer that over this Razer. That would be because of its beautiful design, comfortable contours, almost perfect size and it also has 8 buttons - 5 of which can be customized through the provided SetPoint software. And oh, I almost forgot... It performs great too!

High Dpi mouse but no short cut buttons. I own MX 518 for one year and is an flag ship mouse. But its stylish and have short cut buttons but now have become old model as it was released 4 years back. Logitech should release few new gaming mouse under price ranges of .1.5, 2 and 2.5k.
