After Dell's smartphone lineup leaked out last week, yet another leak indicates two new Android OS based Dell netbooks - Sparta and Athens, are in the making. As per the roadmap document nabbed by Android Central, Dell is planning to introduce its first Android based netbooks alongside smartphones. Apart from Android, these netbooks may also come with Moblin (Mobile Linux) OS on them. Dell will also introduce Looking Glass and Looking Glass Pro tablets based on Android OS with Bender. All these Android based products are projected to be launched by the third quarter of fiscal year 2011.

Both Sparta and Athens will have 11-inch SVGA TFT displays offering 1027x768 pixel resolution. These two netbooks will have ARM based processors inside and will offer wireless connectivity options such as 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Looks like Dell will also offer users an option to choose between Android and Moblin OS for both these netbooks.

In terms of large tablets, Dell will introduce Looking Glass tablet based on Android OS which may have new user interface dubbed Bender. Looking Glass will have a 7-inch WVGA display supporting, 800x600 pixel resolution. A step higher version Looking Glass Pro would be introduced in the first quarter of financial year 2012 with HD display and optional TV tuner.

The Android based line up from Dell looks promising but we shall wait for official confirmation on the same.
