Unless HTC brings down the price, this Legend will be soon forgotten

Aluminum uni-body, 3.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, multi-touch support (gallery & browser), optical trackball, accelerometer, compass, 3.5mm jack, tethering Support, social media integration, Wi-Fi, 5MP auto & touch focus

No secondary camera for video-call, no shutter button, not hot-swappable memory card, poor battery life, pricing

HTC is rolling out several handsets, most of which are Android based. Today we have the HTC Legend, built on the success of the HTC Hero, but looks to take things a notch higher. The phone boasts of the latest Android OS v2.1 (Eclair) and the latest in Sense UI. HTC's own perfected UI lies over the Android OS. The other stand out features of the Legend is its uni-body design, built from a single piece of aluminum . Its AMOLED capacitive screen and Optical Trackball makes it much easier to navigate the handset. The Legend seems to have it all in the spec sheet but can it really become a legendary device? You'll surely know by the end of the review.

I simply do not agree with the review of HTC Legend. The reasons are simple. The price which I pay for this phone is just for the very fact that it is different, good looking and has the oomph factor. If I have to pay a high price for it then so be it! This phone is the best phone available in Indian market today, and by a fair margin too.

Where can I get a Nexus One in Bangalore? Or if not in Bangalore, in India?

Overall its quite a good phone with few minor drawbacks like the camera performance, etc. Its just not right to compare it with the Samsung galaxy i7500 as along with an updated version of the android os ( 2.1 Eclair) it has HTC sense, a feature that the Samsung phone cant compare with, and which the reviewer seems to have forgotten. This along with the looks, build quality and interface make it a pretty decent package, and with just the launch price being Rs.25990 it seems a tad overpriced but not too much so.

I think its quite reasonable priced . If you compare it to iphone (similar specs) and HTC Hero (its predecessor) the phone is quite reasonable priced

There is a mistake regarding Samsung Galaxy in this article, that it does not have flash.

"If I want an Android phone I'd put in an additional 4k and buy the Google Nexus One, a much more powerful device and overall a better phone. " You wont even need to put an additional 4k dear.... The latest Grey Market prices of the N1 are hovering around the Rs.26k mark! That really makes the Legend obsolete!!! I totally agree with your review of there being nothing legendary about the legend! It is just another Frozen Pie from the HTC Freezer
