Taiwan-based Silicon Power is a rising name in the storage media business and they manufacture a wide array of storage devices. PC memory, memory cards, USB Flash storage, portable hard drives, SSDs - you name it and Silicon Power manufactures it. Amongst their USB Flash drives, they have some products that are manufactured from a very practical point of view and are meant to give the consumer a good value for their money. The Silicon Power Luxmini 320 8GB drive we received is a simple and elegant USB Flash drive. Let us find out how it performs.

The Luxmini 320 drive comes attractively packed in a transparent plastic enclosure. The flash drive comes with no bundle. If Silicon Power would have provided a USB extension cable, it would have allowed you to plug it into a rear USB port without the need to reach to the back of your PC. Also, a lanyard would have made it easier to keep track of the drive.

Who says there is no need for 8 or 16 GB drive. I don't. I own a Amkette Flash player. It has a single USB port. To play a hard drive, I would need to USB ports to get enough power. I would buy SP 16 GB if it maintains the price level.
