Aliens versus Predator Classic 2000

Sega's attempt to revive this classic shooter bombed badly, but thankfully you can always return to the one that made it famous, and better still, enjoy it on the move. You may choose one of the three roles available; like marine, alien or predator in this tweaked version that was created to run well and look good on modern PCs. If you're a fan of this franchise then you should definitely check it out.



Braid

This is a very interesting game and a PC favorite for many reasons. Braid is played by solving physical puzzles in a standard platform game environment. A defining game element is the player's unlimited ability to reverse time and "rewind" ones actions, even after dying. A very unique game that will keep you hooked.



Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast

Developed by Raven Software and published by LucasArts and Activision, the  game features both single-player and multiplayer modes. The story-driven single-player is set in the Star Wars universe two years after the events of Mysteries of the Sith, Jedi Outcast's predecessor. A must-play for all you star wars fans.

It will be good to know which of the Tombraider games work well on netbooks. Some people new to gaming might like one or two games from the older series (TR 1 to TR 5) after which the games started getting better quality graphics.
