Microsoft recently released "Fix it", an extension of the year-old "Microsoft's Fix it Solution Center".
What does Fix it Center do?
It simply fixes common Windows issues faced by the average Joe. The process is automated without technical jargon and unlike a help file or online forum posts that tell you what to do, this application does it for you.
Fix it very reminiscent of Windows 7 "Action Center", as it is built on top of it. Also, do note that Fix it, though quite stable, is in Beta release and therefore expect some irregularities.
Where can it be downloaded?
You can download the application straight away from the Fix it Center Online Portal.
The download is absolutely free and weighs only 437kb. The application runs on dotNet framework, which can be downloaded here.
Injecting the Fix
Fix it install is as straightforward as an installer can be. It, however, needs a full-fledged administrator account to install and not just administrator access to the installer if in Limited account. This is quite non-standard for Microsoft applications but since Fix it Center is in Beta, it's quite acceptable.
The installer further downloads extra components when installing, though, what is downloaded is not known. Perhaps the web install is meant to check whether dotNet framework is installed or not. Having the latest 3.5 dotNet framework, the installer installed quickly.
