Google has announced the launch of its latest offering for mobile devices - Google Suggest. Google Suggest is nothing but the same feature you find on desktops where Google suggests an answer to your search query by itself even before you having to type your entire query (a sort of autocomplete, but smarter!).

With the desktop scheme of things covered, Google seems to have turned its attention to the next big thing -  mobile phones. With a huge percentage of the Internet content being served on mobile phones already, Google felt that it is time they extended their desktop centric features to mobile phones as well.

The interesting thing about this new found Google Suggest support is that it also comes with Google's Universal Search feature (also found on desktops). As of now, Google Suggest for mobile works only in U.S. and that too only on Android devices, Palm WebOS phones, and Apple's iPhone and iPod. If you fulfill these requirements, head to http://google.com  on your handset's browser and take a look at how the technology works!
