Features
The Ultima II I-Series is shaped like a normal USB Flash drive with minimalistic design. It has a scratch-resistant aluminum surface with a brushed finish and that makes it fingerprint-resistant too. The rest of the drive is made of clear transparent polymer including the cap. The cap does not have any way to secure it to the drive, so you need to take care of it or it can easily get lost. The far-end of the drive has a fish-eye to let you weave in a lanyard. The drive is pretty small and light and will not cause obstructions to adjacent ports.
The drive activity is indicated by a red LED housed inside far-end of the drive which makes the whole rear end glow beautifully.
The drive shows up as soon as you plug it in a USB port. As you can see in the image above, it shows up that it is ready for ReadyBoost, and indeed Silicon Power does advertise it as being "Enhanced for Windows ReadyBoost".
The capacity of the drive in Properties shows as 7.45 GB. We noticed that the drive is formatted with FAT32 for backward compatibility.
