Full 1080p recording at 30FPS, really good video recording quality, easy to use, composite and HDMI TV-Out, dedicated macro mode, good display quality

Large and bulky design, short USB cable, very narrow field of vision in 1080p mode

3-5 k? lol You don't even get a decent camera phone in that range. Of course you can't compare the video quality of Zi8 to a full-fledged camcorder. That's why it's cheaper! And by the way, Zi8 comes with a provision for an external microphone. Many higher-end camcorders don't have that option and so the video shot is coupled with inferior audio. In that sense Zi8 is actually revolutionary since it's the ONLY pocket camcorder which has support for an external microphone. A proper camcorder won't be less than 20 k in the Indian market. At Rs 8750 (this is the best price I could find for Zi8 on ebay India), this "overpriced gizmo" is priced half of your full HD camcorder. And in that context it's well worth the money.

Overpriced gizmo without a practical usage. Such devices should be priced @ 3K~5K since, they incorporate a cheap CMOS sensor and there is no optical zoom. The 1080P videos are grainy on such devices and completely lack any quality of a true FullHD camcorder. I'd rather like to stay away from such devices.

No Sample video? Would not it be better if a sample video was attached with the review so that we can have better idea of the recording quality?

Looks like Prasad was either too lazy to record video and upload it or doesn't know how to do it. Guess what's going to be his reply to this comment? 'You won't get to see the actual recording quality for he'll have to upload on YouTube blah blah blah'. In short, another BS.

Heading says:- "Tiny camcorder" that can record good quality videos. Cons Says: "Large and bulky design" Question : How could a Tiny Camcorder be Large and bulky in design???
