Interface

The Olive FrvrOn is a very basic phone. As far as the interface goes it was surprising to notice that it was very neatly done. The interface has nice colors and well displayed icons. The menu is a grid of nine icons; Messaging, Call Records, Contacts, Settings, Radio, Network Service, Applications, Games, and SIM Tool Kit.

The phone has space for 200 contacts and in addition to that a SIM card can hold about 250 contacts. Contacts can be searched and you can also copy from SIM to Phone and vice versa. It also has the ability to organize contacts in caller groups. The phone also comes with several of the standard applications like Alarm, Calculator, Calendar, Memo, Stopwatch, and Time Zone. It also has two games in case you want to kill time; Tetris & Sudoku.

FM Tuner

The FM Tuner of the Olive FrvrOn works with the headset attached. The reception is just about average. The fact that the phone has an FM Tuner that works makes it worthwhile.

Dear Olive, please introduce open market CDMA version of this phone. GSM signals are weak. CDMA signals are strong !!!

The price is mindblowing. I mean, I was really really surprised. This can ease the Mobile revolution in our villages where power supply is quite iffy.

I must say a very practical innovation keeping in mind the remote villages of developing nation! Hats off Olive! Keep it up your innovation! Nice review! and thanks Mr. Barretto for selecting a phone which is not produced by those 'regular brands' like Nokia or Samsung etc because now a days these little known brands are visible everywhere and are giving stiff competition to mobile giants in the sub 5K segment.
