Build & Design
The Olive FrvrOn is not an expensive handset. It is in fact one of those most affordable handsets or rather cheapest handsets in the market. There is a good chance that our mobile bill per month may exceed the cost of this handset. But that doesn't mean you don't get a worthy handset at this price. The handset is simple and is clearly out to prove a point.
The size of the handset is very compact and is very comfortable to hold. The design of the handset is nothing special but it could have been thinner. In fact, the phone is fatter towards the battery compartment because of the AAA housing.
The screen of the handset is color and below it is the rubberized plastic alphanumeric keypad. There is a 5-way D-Pad, which has a translucent pale red ring around it. The keypad is not very comfortable, which is expected since the phone is priced so low. Typing on it requires some effort and the buttons are pretty tacky.
At the bottom of the handset is a miniUSB port. This port connects the phone to the charger as well as the headset. There is a lanyard loophole at the top right corner of the handset. The rest of the handset is blank.
At the back of the handset the entire back slides open to reveal the battery compartment. The cover features a nice wavy texture which adds grip to the handset. The battery compartment has the capacity to accommodate two batteries. One being the handsets default battery and the other being an AAA battery. The SIM card slot sits under the default battery of the FrvrOn.
