3D Effects flaunting handheld console won't require cheap 3D glasses available in movie halls
Nintendo has announced (pdf) that it will unveil hand held console DSi's successor which is called the Nintendo 3DS (at least for now). This new 3DS console will allow users to enjoy 3D games without using any special glasses. Sounds novel, eh? Additional details about the Nintendo 3DS console would be uncovered at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2010 scheduled in June.
The new Nintendo 3DS console would be a new addition in the existing DS family which includes - DS, DS Lite, DSi and DSi XL. The Nintendo 3DS would be backward compatible. This ensures that all DS series
games would be enjoyable on it. Competing with Sony PSP go, we hope that new 3DS offers more onboard
storage space.
This also calls for a new breed of '3D effects' showing games developed
specifically for the 3DS console. New 3DS console is expected to be
released before March 2011.
This information spread through Twitter when Mark MacDonald, executive director of 8-4 ltd video game company, tweeted about the Nintendo's 3DS console's press release through his Twitter account. The press release rests on Nintendo Japan's website but is in English.
